UV Sterilization Systems and Components

UV Sterilization With Pulsed Light
That Penetrates For Purity

UV Sterilization is enhanced with XENON’s new SteriPulse-XL® pulsed light UV sterilization technology. UV Sterilization kills bugsA revolutionary pulsed lamp at the heart of this UV Sterilization system fires pulses of light that penetrate deeply to achieve unprecedented degrees of purity. The UV/Vis pulsed light technology pioneered by XENON Corporation realizes higher speeds which, in turn, results in lower costs.

Benefits

The new SteriPulse-XL® 3000 UV Sterilization system offers a state-of-the-art technique that ensures purity through a high degree of penetration. XENON Corporation's pulsed lamp pulses three times per second; each pulse lasts only a few hundred millionths of a second but each is 50,000 times brighter than sunlight and powerful enough to kill high levels of all microorganisms. Moreover, the system's pulsed characteristics allow SteriPulse-XL® to function with virtually no heat buildup. This cool operation and the absence of toxic mercury and microwaves allows XENON Corporation to offer a product that is safe for you to use while it ensures the safety of your product.

A great deal has been learned about pulsed light methods, and a great deal of research is yet to be done, and probably always will be; virus mutation and other infractions of Nature's wonders will see to that.

Research in every corner of technology has published papers about the effectiveness of UV (Ultraviolet) sanitization and is now the most accepted method over former chemical and heat processes.

Since microorganisms encompass five major groups (viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa), each group has individual cells, which require different levels of UV energy for destructionTable 1. Table 1 represents the UV energy levels required for various microorganism destruction. The same number of microwatt seconds per square centimeter can be accomplished with high intensity short-pulsed exposure.

Dedication to the safety of the workplace and the quest for a superior curing technology led Xenon Corporation into the development of pulsed UV curing. Today, when one thinks of pulsed light, Xenon Corporation is first in the mind of the customer.

Xenon Corporation enjoys a reputation for superior customer service and sophisticated products that are rugged and reliable. Hundreds of end-users and OEMs worldwide count on Xenon Corporation products for longer life, greater reliability and less down time.

A 45-page booklet that describes how high energy pulsed UV light is used to sterilize and disinfect food, pharmaceutical products, medical devices, laboratory instruments, water and packaging materials is now available from Xenon Corporation.

The Pulsed UV Treatment For Sterilization & Decontamination Booklet provides an overview of SteriPulse-XL® Systems which use high energy, broad spectrum Pulsed UV light to sterilize and decontaminate rapidly. Laboratory reports detailing >6 log kill of Bacillus spores and applications where kill occurred with only three pulses of pulsed UV light are included along with a wide range of application information.

Providing test results that validate what can be achieved using photochemical sterilization to kill a variety of microorganisms; viruses, spores, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa, this new booklet includes log data charts, process diagrams, and references. Full specifications for the SteriPulse-XL® family, ranging from benchtop to on-line production systems are included.

At Xenon Corporation, quality is considered a standard; the light sources components and systems are designed precisely to specification and are fully tested before being shipped.
