A new system that employs high energy pulsed UV
light to achieve rapid bio-reduction and surface
disinfection of boxes, bags, and carts prior to
entering an aseptic room is being introduced by
Xenon Corporation of Wilmington, Massachusetts.
The SteriPulse® RS-3000 Aseptic Sanitization
System is designed to reduce contamination risks
from packages entering an aseptic room, instantly
and safely, without heat or chemicals. Featuring
pulsed high peak energy UV light technology to disinfect
the packages, this system is capable of 2 to 4 log
kill in less than one second; making it ideal for
in-line conveyor systems.
Designed to eliminate the use of harsh chemicals,
the SteriPulse® RS-3000 Aseptic Sanitization
System is totally “green” and the pulsed
UV light exposure significantly reduces the possibility
of having infected packages which are stored in
a “dirty” area from entering an aseptic
room. Modular system components include lamps, controller
and power supply which can be configured to match
the requirements of specific installations.
