High Uniformity, Low Temperature 360 degree

Polyethylene tubing is a widely used material in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry. Various applications require 360 degree curing for coating and bonding. This must be done with medical grade formulations, at relatively low temperature and high uniformity. Further, because this is a medical device application, there are typically very stringent requirements for testing the final cured bond strength and completeness of cure.
Xenon Corporation engineers have developed a 360 degree system that meets all of the stringent requirements of these applications. In a typical configuration the RC-5OOC Pulsed UV Curing System, illustrated above, consists of:
This system, when used with any UV Class 6 FDA Approved adhesive, typically produces fully cured bonds at low temperatures in seconds. Consult the factory for recommendation of a specific formulation and optional lamp configurations.
The RC-5OOC Pulsed UV Curing System has also been used very successfully for curing and bonding to PVC and latex.
The RC-500C Pulsed UV Curing System may be configured in several different ways to meet the specific requirements of different applications. Two Typical applications are shown below.
